(6th - 12th Grade)



 

Q: What activities will I earn SSL hours for?

 

A: Volunteers earn SSL hours for any and all FC programs and events they attend. This includes educational trainings. When logging your hours be sure to use the date that you actually completed the SSL hours and not the date you are entering them.


 

Q: How do I log my hours?

 

A: To log your hours simply go to our website and click the volunteer tab, then click “Log My Hours” button. You will then be prompted to create an account. Once you have created an account it will be activated on our end.

 

*All volunteers that want to earn SSL hours must create an account and log their hours.


 

Q: Is there an app for that?

 

A: YES! Download the FC Connect app to your cell phone after you have set up your account. Simply search your app store for FCconnect - Friendship Circle and download it for free. Sign in with the username and password you created and click add new activity.


 

Q: What about my SSL forms for school?

A: Volunteers need to obtain the SSL form from the MCPS website. Fill in your info then email it to Paula@fcmd.org

for approval. We will only approve forms of volunteers who have logged all their hours on our FC Connect site/app.



 

Q: How often will I turn in my SSL form?

 

A: Check out the MCPS deadlines. Make sure to give us a week to approve. We will not sign forms at every event- only at the end of your quarter.


 

For those not in MCPS - you get community service for all hours at FC- please obtain your schools’ form, fill it out and send it to us to approve via email to paula@fcmd.org
